Equipment Set-up and Changes

  1. Unplug the HDMI cable from the back of your TV and from the back of the Bell MTS set-top box.

    Note: It is always a good idea to take note of which HDMI port you are unplugging the cable from.

  2. Plug the new HDMI cable into the same port where the old one was on the TV and the set-top box.
  1. Unplug the component cables from the back of your TV and from the back of the Bell MTS set-top box.

    Note: It is always a good idea to take note of which component ports you are unplugging the cables from.

  2. Plug the new component cables into the same ports where the old ones were on the TV and the Bell MTS set-top box.
  1. Unplug the Ethernet cable from one device and plug in the new Ethernet cable.

  2. Go to the second device, unplug the Ethernet cable and plug in the new Ethernet cable.

    Note:
    CAT 5, CAT 5E, or CAT 6 (also known as Ethernet cable) is commonly used to connect computers to Fibe TV RGs, connecting additional Fibe TV set-top boxes (instead of coaxial cable), and for networking computers.

  1. Disconnect all the Ethernet cables from the Ethernet ports (section 1) on your current D-Link 8 Port Switch.

  2. Disconnect the power cable from the power port (section 1).

  3. Connect the power adapter included in the box to the power port (section 1) on the D-Link 8 Port Switch.

  4. Connect all of the Ethernet cables one by one into any Ethernet port on your D-Link 8 Port Switch.
    • The switch will auto detect the incoming signal.
