How to send email messages with Bell Mail

To write a new email message:

  1. On the Mail tab, select Compose. send-email-msg-1
  2. Start entering a name or email address in the To…. field. If the contact you want appears, select it. If the contact does not appear, type their full email address instead.
  3. Enter your subject line and message.
  4. When the email is ready to send, select Send.

To reply to or forward a message:

There are three ways to reply to or forward a message.

  • Within the email message, use the Reply send-email-msg-reply, Reply all send-email-msg-4or Forward send-email-msg-5icons

  • Or, within the email message, select the menu iconsend-email-msg-2
    at the top right of the message, and then choose to Reply, Reply all or Forward. send-email-msg-3
  • While in your inbox, check the box to the left of a message and then use the Reply send-email-msg-reply, Reply all send-email-msg-7or Forward send-email-msg-8icons
    in the tool bar at the top of the screen. You can forward several emails at once by checking the boxes to the left of multiple messages.

Formatting an email from within the compose screen:

  • To format the text in an email (change the font, set text to bold, change text size, etc.), use the format bar.

  • To set the priority of an email, either click on the exclamation point (!) icon to the right of the subject bar, or select More Options on the left side of the page.
  • Additional email features can be found under the More Options section as well.

To add an attachment to an email:

  1. On the Mail tab, select Compose
  2. Drag and drop files from your computer to anywhere on the mail screen. send-email-msg-12Or, select Attachments from the menu on the left, and then select the Add Attachment button to browse for files on your computer.
